Library
The Kohimarama School library is a vibrant place where students can read, be involved in activities or search for information.
Most students visit the library each week as part of their literacy programme with their classroom teacher. Students are able to borrow 2 books for two weeks. The library is also open during big break (1:10pm - 1:40pm) for a variety of activities set up by the school librarian and a team of student librarians. Students are able to return books in their class scheduled time, at lunchtime or before school, just pop in and drop your books into the Returning Slot.
Student Librarians
Each year students from Year 6 to 8 are welcome to apply for a student librarian role. All those who are selected will be working along with the school librarian once a week and help others in the library.
We have a committed team of student librarians who do an amazing job of issuing and returning books as well as keeping us up to date with book recommendations.
