Our Year 6, Term 4 excursion for 2017 is an exciting trip to Rangitoto Island. While there the students will climb to the top of the island and learn about it’s history, flora and fauna. We will then climb back down, have lunch and return to the mainland where we will enjoy a refreshing swim at Parnell Pools from where the students will be collected.

- Departure time: 8:15am – Meet at Orakei Train Station (not school)
- Collection Time: 3:30pm – Parents collect students from Parnell Pools
- Cost: Free (covered by Activity Fee)
What to bring
Comfortable walking shoes, a hat, raincoat, shorts, t-shirt, jumper, plenty of food and drink, sunblock, togs and towel. No singlets or bikinis are to be worn on this trip.
We need a number of parents to help with supervision during this trip. If you are able to help, please indicate in the form below. We are unable to accomodate toddlers on this trip.
The Year 6 students, with the teachers and parents will be taking the train into Britomart from Orakei Station. Parents will be required to drop their children down to Orakei Train Station at 8:15am on Friday 8 December. There we will catch the ferry to and from Rangitoto Island. The return ferry is at 12.45pm. On our return we will catch a bus to Parnell Pools at 1:15pm. Parents are required to pick up their children from Parnell Pools no later that 3:30pm.
