Hi everyone, it’s exciting to be at this stage of the year with so much going on and so much to celebrate as our kids finish up a full year of school and activities.
We were so sorry to have to cancel our picnic last weekend, however were happy that we made the right call as the rain just kept coming in. These events will be rescheduled to coincide with the ‘Meet the Teacher’ evening and picnic held by the school in Term 1. If you bought a colour run ticket this will carry over to that event.
Second Hand Uniform
THANK YOU to the families that have donated to and purchased from the PTA Second-hand Uniform Shop this year. All sales go directly to the PTA’s support of our school and students.
The PTA Second-hand Uniform shop will close for the year on 9 December and re-open in January.
If you would like to donate any good condition uniforms that you no longer need, please leave them in the uniform cupboard in the school office. We are particularly in need of good condition size 8 items as well as accessories (raincoat and hat/cap).

PTA Chairpersons
Julie and Lizzie have Chaired the PTA since the start of 2021 and will be stepping down at the end of 2022. We have a well established calendar of events and team of PTA supporters who help to make them happen, and are looking for new chairs to lead the PTA from next year. It is a great role for two people to share and puts you right at the heart of our Kohimarama School community. If you are interested or have any questions please contact us on kohiptachair@gmail.com.
Gala 2023
Thanks to our awesome community we have a parent who is happy to lead the 2023 Gala and a group of the parents who were part of the previous planning team are staying on to bring the plans to life.
We are still looking for additional volunteers to help with the event and people to help with sponsorship and auction items in order to make this event a success. If you are interested or have any questions please contact us on kohiptachair@gmail.com.

Regular PTA Activities
If you buy ‘Yummy’ branded fruit collect the stickers or bag labels and we can exchange them for new sport equipment. Go to the Yummy Stickers page for more info.
We have a range of items. Prices depend on condition; roughly $25 fleeces, $15 polo t-shirts, $20 skorts and shorts, $15 sports t-shirts. Go to the Second-hand Uniforms page for more info.
Have you thought about joining a school walking bus? A short drive can be an amazing walk! If you’re interested in joining, go to the Walking School Bus page.
For an ice-block or slice of pizza (cheese or ham & pineapple) on Fridays, send along $2. They will be sold 1.15-1.30pm out of the Hall Kitchen window.
Look out for this term’s Scholastic Book Club flyers in the book bags. Please place any orders online (or view the online flyer) at the Scholastic Book Club. No paper orders will be accepted.
Pre-order by the end of the day Tuesday and fresh sushi will be delivered to school for your child’s Wednesday lunch. Go to the Sushi Wednesdays page for instructions.
