It’s been a great Term of PTA events with our first Parent Survey, Blokes Breakfast, Calendar Art, Trivia Night and finally the Working Bee coming up this weekend. Thank you for your support for all of these, we couldn’t do it without the efforts of so many volunteers who continue to give their time to PTA activities.
As our last newsletter for the term we wish you all a restful holiday and we will be back next term with our final event for the year. Save Sunday November 20 for our Kohimarama End of Year School Picnic, it’s going to be better than ever!
Trivia Night, 80s Prom
Last Friday the school hall was taken right back to the 80s and transformed into the setting for Prom Night. It was a fabulous evening with intense competition for the Trivia Night Trophy. We were so impressed with the costumes and effort that everyone had gone to, we even had the prom band and faculty members in attendance.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to making Trivia night such a success. We are delighted to announce that we raised over $15,000 which is amazing! This money will be used to build up and modernise the senior reading resources in Hillary and Snell teams which will be done in 2023.
Working Bee
This Sunday 25 September, 10am – 2pm
We’re looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible at school on Sunday 25th September to help beautify our school gardens. We are focusing on reshaping Kiri Gardens, tidying up the beds around the Cowley playground and planting around our Centennial Tree.
We will be there from 10am – 2pm, please come when you can!

Pizza & Ice block Coordinator still needed!
We have a strong team of volunteers who help to sell Pizza and Ice blocks every Friday. We are needing someone new to coordinate this group and manage the pizza and ice block orders. Please let us know if you could help kohiptachair@gmail.com.

Regular PTA Activities
If you buy ‘Yummy’ branded fruit collect the stickers or bag labels and we can exchange them for new sport equipment. Go to the Yummy Stickers page for more info.
We have a range of items. Prices depend on condition; roughly $25 fleeces, $15 polo t-shirts, $20 skorts and shorts, $15 sports t-shirts. Go to the Second-hand Uniforms page for more info.
Have you thought about joining a school walking bus? A short drive can be an amazing walk! If you’re interested in joining, go to the Walking School Bus page.
For an ice-block or slice of pizza (cheese or ham & pineapple) on Fridays, send along $2. They will be sold 1.15-1.30pm out of the Hall Kitchen window.
Look out for this term’s Scholastic Book Club flyers in the book bags. Please place any orders online (or view the online flyer) at the Scholastic Book Club. No paper orders will be accepted.
Pre-order by the end of the day Tuesday and fresh sushi will be delivered to school for your child’s Wednesday lunch. Go to the Sushi Wednesdays page for instructions.
