Hi there, it feels like Spring is in the air and we are excited that we have three of our favourite community and fundraising events coming up! Tickets for Blokes Breakfast are on sale until Friday of this week and we still have a few Trivia Night tables available. It’s a great change to get a group from your class together and get to know some new people!
Blokes Breakfast
Friday September 2, 7:30AM – 8:30AM
Thank you to Aaron Foss for sponsoring the coffee cart and photo booth at Blokes Breakfast this year! Next Friday September 2, kids get to bring along their special big bloke for a light breakfast in the school hall and share some of their favourite things about their Big Bloke. Breakfast of bacon sammies, pastries and fruit, and tea & coffee is included in the ticket price. Purchase tickets on online shop by Friday 26 August. $10 – bloke, $5 – each child.
Here is a link to some worksheets the kids can complete about their Big Bloke. Please return these to your teacher by Wednesday August 31 so they can be displayed on the day.
We still need volunteers please – if you can assist with help on the morning of the event or night before (cooking bacon, food preparation) please email us at kohiptasecretary@gmail.com

Trivia Night – 80s Prom
Friday September 16, 6.30PM – Midnight
Trivia night is back on September 16. The doors open at 6.30pm and the quiz will run from 7.30-9.00pm. This year Trivia Night is being run by Believe it or Not, who run popular Trivia events throughout New Zealand. This is our school’s favourite PTA event and will sell out, be sure to register your table early!
You can form a table of 8-12 and book for everyone or if you don’t have enough to make a table let us know and we will help match you up with people from your year group. As before you can pre-order pizza and wine to have waiting for you when you arrive.
Travel back in time and choose your table name related to 80s Prom. Relive the days of big fashion, big music and even bigger hair!
You can register and book food HERE.

Working Bee – Sunday 25 September

Save the date to come and join us at school on Sunday 25th September to help beautify our school gardens.
We have a new group of parent working on the Kiri area which has already had a great impact. We will continue with this and will also focus on Rawhitiroa Rd and the area behind the new Year 3 hub. We always have a great day with pizza lunch and beverages supplied for our helpers.
Please register your interest HERE for our planning.
