Fun Run Success
Wow, what an awesome night! It was wonderful to see so many families out supporting the school. There was a great atmosphere with enthusiastic runners, colourful costumes and DJ Karl keeping the kids dancing until dark while the parents relaxed in the clubrooms.
Thank you to everyone who came along, to everyone who baked, (we sold out!), bought sausages, bought drinks from the bar and volunteered. We raised an awesome $6,500 for our school!
A special thank you has to go to Kristy, Kate and Amy for organising such a fun and positive event, and to our Sponsor Augustine for making it such a success.
Centennial Gala
We are starting our search for Auction Items to be sold at the Gala, this is the main source of fundraising for the school and it has been 3 years since the last Gala.
We rely on much support from all of you by volunteering auction items big and small. From hampers to vouchers and beach houses to rent, please get in touch if you have anything to offer.

– Printer to print a large back drop with sponsorship on it, approximately 2.5 by 2.5m

Working Bee
Calling all willing workers to come along and help out at the Working Bee on May 16. We will be at school from 10-2 focusing on planting to get the school looking its best for the Centennial celebrations. We’ll have a sausage sizzle going to keep everyone energised. Laundry Help Wanted
Let us know if you can help with the school laundry roster in term 2. You would need to pick up a small bag of laundry after school on Friday, wash it and return on Monday morning. Commitment is for a month. Please contact kohiptachair@gmail.com if you can assist.
Upcoming PTA meeting
Our next PTA meeting is on Tuesday April 13, 7pm in the staffroom. We’re always looking for new people to get involved and coming along to a meeting is a great way to learn what is going on and what part you can play. We also want to talk about how the PTA interacts with the wider parent community, and what you want from us. If you’d like to see change please come along.
Regular Activities
If you buy ‘Yummy’ branded fruit collect the stickers or bag labels and we can exchange them for new sport equipment. Go to the Yummy Stickers page for more info.
We have a range of items. Prices depend on condition; roughly $25 fleeces, $15 polo t-shirts, $20 skorts and shorts, $15 sports t-shirts. Go to the Second-hand Uniforms page for more info.
Have you thought about joining a school walking bus? A short drive can be an amazing walk! If you’re interested in joining, go to the Walking School Bus page.
For an ice-block or slice of pizza (cheese or ham & pineapple) on Fridays, send along $2. They will be sold 1.15-1.30pm out of the Hall Kitchen window.
Look out for this term’s Scholastic Book Club flyers in the book bags. Please place any orders online (or view the online flyer) at the Scholastic Book Club. No paper orders will be accepted.
Pre-order by the end of the day Tuesday and fresh sushi will be delivered to school for your child’s Wednesday lunch. Go to the Sushi Wednesdays page for instructions.
