Dear Parents and Caregivers
COVID 19 – Alert Level 3
On Saturday night the Prime Minister announced that we are moving to Alert Level 3 in Auckland for seven days. This is because there are community cases of Covid 19. At Alert Level 3 our school is closed to all students except those children of essential workers. When further updates are made by the Prime Minister we will make contact with you on what this means for school and our students.
At Alert Level 3 staff and students will be working at home with learning online. Your teacher will be in contact with you via email this morning. Staff will continue to be online and available via email for students to contact from 9.00am to 12 noon daily. The afternoon can be set aside for physical activities, arts and crafts or other activities of your choice. Teachers will schedule a daily Google Meet. Your teacher will be in contact to advise the time of the Google Meet for your child’s class.
Our school grounds and gates will be closed during Alert Level 3, which means that our grounds are unable to be used. We will make contact with those students attending school in Alert Level 3 with the protocols for coming to school.
Based on our experience from last time we were at Alert Level 3, we believe that with your continued support our students will learn effectively online at home. Remember we are available via email at any time during the day, should you need support or have any questions or concerns. We understand that this situation is difficult, however being at home is the safest place for everyone at this time.
