Welcome back to term 3!
URGENTLY Needing A New Walking School Bus Co-ordinator
Huge thanks to Kirsten for her dedication over the last two years, but due to a change in circumstances, Kirsten now urgently needs to hand the co-ordination of the walking school bus to someone new. Kirsten has implemented some great new systems and her hard work has made it super easy for her successor to take over!
This job doesn’t take much time but gives so much back to the school. If you have a few spare hours that you could give then this role is easy to fit in whatever hours suit. You will be required to:
- Send an email once a fortnight to ask for certificate nominations
- Plan and run one celebration event once a term for the students
- Be the school’s contact for Auckland Transport
- Forward WSB registrations onto the co-ordinator of each bus
If you’re interested in becoming our new walking school bus co-ordinator, please contact Lynda kohiptachair@gmail.com

REGISTER NOW FOR OUR ANNUAL WORKING BEE – SUN 23 AUG
The garden plan is created, the plants ordered and all we need now is lots of parents to participate in our working bee to make our garden areas look amazing, in preparation for our 2021 centennial celebrations.
Sunday 23 August – morning 10-12, afternoon 12-2pm or all day!
You don’t have to be a gardening guru to help – there are jobs big and small – lots of pruning and ‘clearing out’ of unruly plants as well as planting of new plants and trees.
Kids are welcome and there will be a BBQ lunch provided at 12 noon
PLEASE REGISTER YOUR ATTENDANCE to Lizzie: elizabeth.p.massey@gmail.com with the following info:
- Who will be attending
- What time – morning/afternoon or all day
- What tools you can bring (eg pruning shears, spade, wheelbarrow…)
- If you have any special gardening skills or you are good at digging holes!
Blokes Breakfast – Friday 28 August 7.30-8.30am
It’s that time of the year again where the kids get to bring along their special big bloke for a light breakfast in the school hall, with a few other surprises.
More details to follow.
Get involved and have your say in 2020
We are always looking for more parents to get involved – if you have some ideas we’d love to see you at our PTA meetings held the first Monday of each month in the school staff room, or happy to hear from you anytime – email Lynda kohiptachair@gmail.com
