This afternoon you will have heard the Prime Minister outlining the move to Alert level 2, ‘Playing it Safe’.
When we reach Alert Level 2, schools will reopen for all students. In doing so the requirements of the Ministries of Health and Education must be met. Top of this is providing a safe environment for all, including; managing the risks, remaining home if you are sick or have underlying health conditions that place you at a higher risk, maintaining high standards of hygiene and where possible maintaining distance.
We have begun planning for the move to Alert Level 2. Over the coming days and as we receive further communications from the Ministry of Education, the school will amend the current protocols for being onsite and the health and safety requirements to make this happen. We will keep you informed.
We may require further information from you as we move towards Alert Level 2. This will come via an eTap message from the school and perhaps a Google form to collect the data that we need.
I thank you for your positive support and encouragement of the school. Thank you for your support of your children as they work in a different way, via the online learning. This is certainly a stressful time for all and appreciate that, working together, we do the very best in this environment imposed upon us.
