URGENTLY LOOKING FOR WEDNESDAY MORNING ROAD PATROL VOLUNTEER PLEASE

CALLING FOR VOLUNTEERS
We’re looking for volunteers to help with obtaining sponsorship & finding auction items for our bi-annual Soiree which will be held on 12 Sep (amended from 19 Sep) this year. The Soiree is our single biggest bi-annual fundraising event and the key to success is having a wide range of auction items. Sourcing auction items is something that can be done from home at a time that suits you. Email Lynda firstname.lastname@example.org if you can help.
Looking for volunteers for rooms: 4, 7, 8, 10, 14, 17, 19, 21 & 23
At the beginning of each year we look for a class co-ordinator (or co-ordinators) who becomes the central point of contact for each classroom. Key responsibilities include:
- Passing on communication directly from the PTA
- Facilitating social events for both parents and children to get to know each other (suggest one per term) – i.e., class picnic at Madills/beach; meeting for drinks somewhere local (parents only)
- Welcome new families who start during the school year and assist with the introduction to the school i.e., update on walking school bus, ice block/pizza Friday, sushi Wednesday etc
- Organise the end of year gift for your teacher

Kiri (Year 0/1) Picnic – 19 March 2020
All Year 0 and 1 families are invited along to an annual Kiri Family Picnic! It’s a great chance to meet your child’s friends and other kiri families as the kids join in the games on the field!
Sausages and ice blocks will be for sale for $2 each – PLEASE BRING CASH or bring along your own picnic. Thanks to New World Eastridge and Bakers Delight for their support in providing sausages and bread for the BBQ.
Thurs 19 Mar, 4-6pm on the top School Field. Kids games and activities led by our senior students will be on the field 4.30-5.30pm
Top Schools Fun Day – A FUN DAY INDEED!
Thirty of our year 3-6 kids participating in teams of 10, competed against other local Eastern Suburbs primary schools on Sunday at the Top Schools fun sports day. The teams competed in a number of fun events including a slippery slide, gumboot throw, mine field, ski run, sponge fun, newspaper delivery complete with sleds, and the wobbly wheels wagons. It was unanimously agreed, it was a fun day!
Walking School Bus
There are a number of Walking School Buses (WSBs) which provide a safe and fun way for children to walk to school.
The WSB runs every school morning from its designated meet point to the school. If you’re interested in joining or to find out more, go to the Walking School Bus page.

Have you thought about joining a school walking bus? A short drive can be an amazing walk! If you’re interested in joining, go to the Walking School Bus page.
For an ice-block or slice of pizza (cheese or ham & pineapple) on Fridays, send along $2. They will be sold 1.15-1.30pm out of the Hall Kitchen window.
Look out for this term’s Scholastic Book Club flyers in the book bags. Please place any orders online (or view the online flyer) at the Scholastic Book Club. No paper orders will be accepted.
