In the weekend the Government actioned the NZ Pandemic Plan as a result of new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in multiple locations within the country.
Kohimarama School has therefore actioned its Pandemic Plan to level 2 and is taking action to “flatten the curve” and ensure our students are at less of a risk of exposure as possible.
To minimise this we have actioned the following:
● Postponing the Kiri Team picnic.
● No longer holding full school assemblies. We will still recognise achievement within classrooms.
Based on announcements from the Prime Minister over the weekend, we are asking families to follow self isolation requirements for anyone who has travelled from overseas and to manage within their homes as appropriate. Thank you to those families who have contacted us about their return to NZ and are in self isolation. Please keep the school updated of your travel plans.
Thank you to our families for keeping children who are unwell at home until they are fully recovered. This is key to reducing the spread of any illness within our community
We continue to encourage students to practice good hygiene including thorough hand washing and use of sanitiser, cough and sneeze etiquette and use of tissues.
We will continue to communicate with you via email. Please ensure that the email addresses and contact phone numbers that we hold for your child are up to date.
