It’s hard to believe this year is almost over … it’s only one month until Christmas! This is our final newsletter for the year, and from all of us at the PTA, we thank you so much for your generous support this year.

We thank everyone who has contributed their time this year to PTA activities, be it supporting our events or organising fundraisers, co-ordinating rosters, spending your mornings on road patrol and walking school bus, selling Friday ice blocks/pizza or sorting Wednesday sushi, washing laundry, selling second hand uniforms & entertainment books, managing scholastic book club … the list goes on. We also thank everybody who has contributed valuable funds this year, WE ARE TRULY GRATEFUL.

We have lots of fun events and fundraisers planned for next year, but until then we wish you all a very safe and happy Christmas and holiday. See you in 2020!

Event News

A Jolly Holly Kohi Xmas Picnic – Oh what fun!

The sun shone, the kids bounced tire..less…ly on the bouncy castle and our fabulous Kapa Haka, band and choir entertained us while enjoying a relaxed afternoon (very well earned after the amazing race!) with family and friends. The afternoon started with 54 teams racing around the school and beyond in the bid to be our inaugural Amazing Race champions – congratulations to The Watkins-Ward family our winners for this year, closely followed by The Evans Family and picking up bronze was the Kneeshaw Knights. If the pics are anything to go by, it certainly was a fun way to kick off our Jolly Holly Kohi Xmas Picnic!

We are very grateful for the support of House of Travel St Heliers. Kohimarama School holds a special place in Owner Operator Darren McGregor’s heart.  A few words from Darren, our sponsor and friend of Kohimarama School.

“House of Travel St. Heliers were really excited to sponsor the Jolly Holly Xmas Picnic on Sunday and delighted to see the tradition continue and grow & flourish and I’m sure you’ll al agree the PTA did a marvellous job this year.

Kohimarama School has a special place in my heart as my daughter was pupil from Year 1 through to Year 8 and like her we made life long friends through the school.

Having recently taken ownership of The House of Travel St. Heliers it is a privilege to be able to give a little back and support the school once again and we’re looking forward to continuing to support the PTA and Kohimarama School #BetterTogether

So next time you are looking for some inspiration drop in store and pop in and say hello and meet our new team.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and all the best for 2020.”
Darren McGregor – Director House of Travel St. Heliers
