Did you know it’s only 10 weeks until Christmas!?  We have some great ways to make your Christmas planning a little easier starting with our Xmas ham fundraiser (orders due by Thurs 24th). Our inaugural ‘A Jolly Holly Kohi Xmas Picnic’ community event on Sun 24th November will include lots of fun activities including an Amazing Race treasure hunt style family event and will be a great way to welcome in the festive season.

Event News

Race to Base ‘Amazing Race’ treasure hunt style Family event – 24 November 3.30-5pm

What a fun way to kick off the ‘Jolly Holly Kohi Xmas Picnic’!

This is a great event for the whole family to get involved. Using a mobile app your team will follow race clues around the school and beyond, completing along the way fun challenges that involves teamwork, decision making, problem solving and a little bit of luck!

The Race to Base is a professionally run event by Clued Up. It caters for kids of all ages (year 0 right through to year 8) and is designed for teams to be a mix of parents & kids (as one person in the team will need a mobile phone to access the Race to Base App).

Teams will receive clues, instructions and navigational guidance using the latest mobile app technology which navigates to a variety of ‘checkpoints’ and interactive challenges.  Each checkpoint presents a different challenge – teams will find themselves solving clues and completing fun challenges.  Teams all visit the same locations but in a different random order and will make or lose time depending on how you complete the challenges which means that the first team back is not necessarily the winner!

Cost is $25 per family/team (up to 6 people per team)

Teams must pre-register and pay via online store on Kohimarama School website by Friday 15 November.
