Invitation to our Year 4,5,6 and 7 Parents
It is that time of year when we ask the year 4,5,6 and 7 parents to an evening at school to learn about how the year 7 and 8 hub works. This meeting will be held in room 19 at 6.30 on Wednesday the 7th of August. It is our intention that this meeting will support you in making an informed decision about where your child will complete their Year 7 and 8 education. We believe that because Kohimarama School goes to year 8, staying here will provide consistency and leadership opportunities that will support with the transition to College. The programme we provide is outstanding in meeting the needs of these Intermediate years.
During the meeting we will outline the type of learning style and the way the hub works to support the students learning. There will be some current and past pupils to speak and an opportunity for questions. The presentation will cover the changes we have made and any new changes that are coming up for next year. We do hope you can come and learn all about us and what we are doing to enhance student achievement in our senior school.

School Cross Country Thursday 8th August – Madills Farm
Please find below the finalised schedule of when we intend to begin races. I say, ‘intend to begin’ because as you know it depends on the number of pupils running on the day and the weather. All parents are welcome to come and encourage your child as they run our Cross Country course. Children are expected to stay on after races and will sit with the other children who are in the same House team. We will try our best to run on time however, we cannot guarantee exact times and we thank you for your patience. We suggest you allow yourself 20-30 minutes before the scheduled time of your child’s race. If it is too wet, then we will run the school course instead.
Spectators
We would really appreciate all spectators sitting/standing on the outside of the running track. Please be mindful of younger siblings as pupils will be running by where you are seated/standing. Additionally, for safety reasons we would ask that you please do not bring dogs nor purchase treats to deliver to your child at the conclusion of their race.
