TRIVIA NIGHT THIS FRIDAY – LAST CALL FOR TABLES & ONLINE AUCTION

It’s not too late to grab some friends and take part in our annual trivia night with TV Shows as the theme!

  • This Friday 14 June – 7pm-midnight, Kohimarama School Hall
  • Arrive from 7pm, Quiz 7.30-9.45pm, DJ & dancing 10pm to midnight

Ticket prices are $40 per person with 10 per table. Register for one, two or an entire table of ten – everybody is welcome. If you don’t have enough people to create a table of 10, we will help match you up with people from your year group. Tables are limited so secure your place/table now.

Help us re-mat the Cowley playground!

All funds raised from this year’s Trivia Night will go towards re-matting the Cowley playground to make this a safe play area for our kids. Thanks to the generous community and the hard work of some very dedicated parents, have pulled together a great selection of auction items.

As well as a silent auction on the night we have an online auction that includes a large selection of BUY NOW items, as well as the opportunity to bid on the silent auction items on the night. This auction is open to the entire school community, so even if you don’t go to trivia night you can still support by purchasing an auction item.

Remember – every dollar of auction money that you spend goes directly to Kohimarama School.  If we can raise enough money the Cowley playground can get re-matted to make this a safe play area for our kids. Please help us make this happen.

Kids Quiz-A-Thon is Coming – 19 June

The pupils of Kohimarama School are participating in a general knowledge QUIZ-A-THON to raise funds and to extend their general knowledge.

On June 19th, each class will be given their general knowledge questions (Kiri 10, Cowley 15, Hilary 20 and Snell 25 questions) which they will learn during the week. Please support our children and encourage their learning by sponsoring them for each correct answer.  The kids will be tested on 26th June with all sponsorship money to be collected in the week following the quiz. Please note, July 3rd will be the final date for all money to be collected.

Further information along with a sponsorship form and payment details will be sent out through the children’s book bags on 19th June.

The class which raises the most money and the first class to return all of their fundraising money, will each receive a free Fruity Kanuti.

Kohimaramara School 2021 Jubilee – Alumni Database

In 2021 Kohimarama School is celebrating our 100 year anniversary and we would like to keep families informed about this very special event.

Our first step is to collect details for an Alumni Database of both current and past students and families of Kohimarama School. We will use the Alumni Database for centenary celebrations, but also to keep past students and families informed of other relevant school events.

Activity Update

Walking School Bus Leaders

Last week, Delia from Auckland Transport ran a Walking School Bus Leadership Programme at Kohimarama School.  This programme allows students who are in Year 4 – Year 8 to take on a Leadership role within the Walking School Buses.  As part of the programme they learnt about what it is to be a leader and what this means within the Walking School Bus community.  Each new Leader has been given a ‘Student Leader Learner License’.  As they go through the programme they will earn their ‘Student Leader Restricted License’ and then their ‘Student Leader Full License’.  At the end of the programme they will be awarded a WSB Student Leader badge.  You should be able to spot our new WSB Leaders with their bright vests on each bus.  Congratulations to Cola Lu, Kaylah Jamieson, Mia Jamieson, Freja Eriksson, Lucus Firth, Isla McGhie, Zoe Mullans and Maddie Bell.
