Event News

Kiri Picnic – A Fun Night!

It was great to see so many families come along to support our Kiri picnic, luckily we had a beautiful night to welcome our new families to the school.

Thank you to Ms Hill and the awesome group of student leaders – Natan, Trixie, Matthew, Siddharth, Maia, Ishani, Neve, Emma and Kareena who came along and organised fun games and activities for the kids – it was easy to see fun was had by all! The sausage sizzle and ice blocks were a huge hit, thanks to Alan and Jeff for their BBQ’ing skills and huge thanks to New World Eastridge and Bakers Delight for their support.

2019 Working Bee – Sunday 19 May – Come and make a difference

Following on from the success of our inaugural working bee last year and as part of our efforts to improve the School’s outdoor environment, we are organising another Working Bee on Sunday 19 May. This year our focus will be on painting, weeding and hedge trimming – the more volunteers we have the more we can do!

To volunteer and for more details on the jobs:

Register for the Working Bee

You don’t need to come for the entire four hours – we have allocated volunteers for morning and afternoon (10am-12noon and 12noon-2pm) but of course you are welcome for the whole day!

Feel free to bring your kids along and there will be a sausage sizzle on the top field. This is a community event so if you have any friends or family who may be able to help we would love to hear from them too.

Activity Update

Anchor Bottle Cap Collection is back!

We will again be taking part in the Anchor milk bottle cap collection with the chance for our school to win a range of great prizes including a visit from Commonwealth Gold Medallist and Halberg New Zealand Sportsman of the Year Tom Walsh and more great prizes!

It’s easy – start saving your bottle caps from the following eligible milk bottles; 2L and 1L Anchor fresh white milk, this includes 2L and 1L Blue, Lite, Trim, Calci+, Protein+, Silver Top, Zero Lacto Blue, Zero Lacto Trim, Organic Blue, Organic Trim, a2™ Blue and a2™ Trim and put them in the collection box in the office between 01 April and 10 June.

All the milk bottle caps get recycled! Last year all the collected bottle caps were turned into fence posts that are used on dairy farms.

Teacher Appreciation Returns for 2019

We know the incredible job all of our teachers, admin staff and senior leaders do for our kids each and every day here at Kohimaramara School. Including working long hours after the bell has gone to create wonderful learning environments and all the extra curricular activities such as sports events, art shows and productions.  Teacher Appreciation returns this year – every few weeks a sushi lunch or a box of goodies (tea/coffee/treats) will arrive in the staffroom – it’s just our small way of saying a HUGE thank you from the parents and that we think our teachers and support staff are simply fab!  Big thanks to Liz B who organises these teacher appreciation gifts.
