Are you interested in becoming a class representative for any of the above rooms (or in sharing the role with a friend)? It’s a fun, social role which involves:
- Welcoming new students and families to the area.
- Organising a couple of social events for the class during the year (ie, parent drinks, after school play at the park/beach)
- Passing on occasional messages from the PTA to the parents of the class
- Organising end of your teacher gift
Please contact Lynda on kohiptachair@gmail.com if you’re interested in helping out.
Book Week: Mon 25 Feb – Fri 01 Mar
Buy a Book and Gift it to our School Library for our kids to enjoy
This year our Kohimaramara School community can help support book week by helping to furnish our library with more books.
Our wonderful school librarian Andreza has identified a range of library books she would love to see in our school library – these range from picture books, chapter books, puzzle books, non fiction books, learning resources etc that all all help to encourage our kid’s passion for reading and inspire literacy.
The books will range in prices and will be available for parents and caregivers to purchase from the online shop the week of 25 Feb – 01 Mar. You have the opportunity to purchase one or more of your favourite books and ‘donate’ these to the school. There will be sticky label put in the front of each book showing who donated the book. When the books arrive, the family that donated each one gets to keep the book for one week before it goes into the library circulation.
Keep an eye out for more details regarding books available to purchase, pricing and the process to order through the online shop.
Walking School Bus Update
Save yourself two hours a week!
The biggest comment from new parents that have joined the walking school bus is that they gain back over 2 hours a week in time! When your child joins a walking school bus we ask that you help out one morning a week with walking. This means that the other four days a week you can drop your child off at the walking school bus location and gain that extra half an hour a day.
Due to a growing demand for the walking school buses, we’re excited to announce two new walking buses – the Black and the White Bus. The Black bus leaves from the corner of Godden and Duddley and a brand new White walking bus will start (when we find a co-ordinator) on Selwyn Ave, taking the walkway through St Andrews Church and Mary Atkin Reserve, heading up Kohimaramara Road.
We are looking for a new White bus co-ordinator so if you are interested please contact Lynda on kohiptachair@gmail.com

Please contact Lynda on kohiptachair@gmail.com if you’re interested in helping out on the night (with sausage sizzle, selling ice blocks etc).
