A Message from the Deputy Principals

Oh what a night…!

Caleb W  –  Roller Mills Auckland East Team

As you know, Caleb has made a real impact in the Rugby arena in Auckland for 2018.  He has furthered this by being in the team that won the National Competition in the recent tournament, held in Cambridge.  By winning this, the team also broke records for being the team that scored the most tries in a tournament and the team who has won the most times in a row – 6.  In addition Caleb’s team won the Sportsmanship trophy of the tournament.  An outstanding achievement Caleb, congratulations to you and your obviously talented team.

The Kohimarama Way – Friendliness

Friendliness keeps you and others from feeling lonely or left out.  It helps people feel that they belong.  When something good or bad happens, it feels good to share it with a friend.  Friendships don’t just happen  –  they are made by people who are willing to be themselves with each other.

Senior School Athletics Year 4-8, Friday 9th November @ Glover Park

The 2018 Senior School Athletics will be held at Glover Park.  All parents are welcome to come and encourage their children as they compete in the events.  Children will be competing in their events and rotating around 4 different stations.  The first event starts at 9.45 am and each rotation is 45 minutes long.  There will be a break in the programme at 11.15 am where all children will watch the 800 m races and then the rotations will continue again at 12.00 pm.  We hope to have all events completed around 1.30 pm and then the 100 m finals and the house relays will be run.  Children are required to compete in their Kohimarama House t-shirt and P.E shorts.  Make sure your children have their hats and sunscreen!

Sunhat Weather – No hat, no play

A reminder that from Labour Weekend to Easter we have a sun hat policy that means if the students are not wearing their school sunhat they are not able to play in the open spaces.  Because we all wear the same hat, a really good idea is to have it named clearly on the inside.  We promise that if we find any named sunhat, we will return it.

Basketball Singlets

Could all basketball singlets please be returned to Mrs Drefers.  Invoices for lost or misplaced singlets will be going out 2 November 2018.  Thank you.
