Event News

2018 Working Bee – Come and make a difference

As part of our efforts to improve the School’s outdoor environment we are organising a Working Bee on Sunday 27 May, 10am-2pm. The aim is to give the school a tidy-up as well as to tackle a few specific landscaping projects.

WE REALLY NEED SOME MORE VOLUNTEERS to make this a successful day.

If you are keen to be part of the day please let us know ASAP by emailing so we can pre-allocate tasks. Please include in the email whether you would like to help with gardening, water blasting or painting.

You do not need to come for the whole time. An hour or two would be great.

You are welcome to bring your kids along and (weather permitting) there will be a sausage sizzle on the top field. This is a community event so if you have any friends or family who may be able to help we would love to hear from them too.

Trivia Night – Friday 15th June

Tickets are selling well so don’t miss out!

Get your team of 10 together and register on the Trivia Night page! If you don’t have a team – don’t worry we can put you in a team.

It’s an 80’s inspired evening, so drag out the leg warmers and start growing the mullet. Think Madonna, Wham and Miami Vice, Star Trek, Dynasty and The Love Boat.

Here’s a Tiger Turf example from another school with a painted feature.

This year funds raised from the night will go towards revamping the Kiri play area by laying Tiger Turf outside rooms 1 and 2. If we raise enough money this can be done in July so come and support the event!!

Thanks to Mel Evans from Ray White Maguire Realty for sponsoring this event!

Jammies in June

We are supporting the Jammies in June initiative from Kidz First and the Middlemore Foundation again this year.

If you would like to contribute, we will be collecting new flannelette pyjamas before school, by the hall, on Wed 6 – Fri 8 June. Alternatively you can make a donation and let them know it is for the Kidz First Jammies in June campaign.

The number of kids admitted to Middlemore Hospital more than doubles over the winter months. Kids that are warm at night are less likely to fall sick and be admitted to hospital due to preventable illnesses.
