News

Kohimarama School Librarian Wanted

We need a motivated, enthusiastic, organised person who shows initiative and likes working with students and teachers to run our school library. This is a paid, part time role—Monday to Friday. Training will be given to the successful applicant.

If you have any questions, please see Meegan Hill. Send your CV and a letter outlining your skill set and suitability for the role to mhill@kohimarama.school.nz or drop it into our school office.

Calling all parents – Walking School Bus Coordinator

The Walking School Bus needs a new coordinator. They would liaise with the Auckland Transport regarding any events, etc and do a small amount of admin for new walkers on any of the 5 buses. If you are interested or would like to know more – please call Ange Bray on 021818700.

Absences

If your child is going to be absent from school please call the school office DDI absent line on 930-9826 and follow the prompts or you can email the office at office@kohimarama.school.nz. Please call or email before 9.00am. Any parents taking their children out for holiday will need to email the office to request leave from the school. Please address this email to the Principal.

Sushi Wednesdays are coming to Kohimarama School!

Starting tomorrow – Wednesday 21 February until the end of Term 1, the PTA are trialling Sushi Wednesdays. Pre-order your child’s sushi online at ricerunner.co.nz by the end of the day on Tuesday and fresh sushi will be delivered to school for your child’s lunch on Wednesday morning. Children in Year 2-8 can collect their sushi from the Hall kitchen at lunchtime. Children in Year 1 will have their sushi delivered directly to their classroom (please make sure you include class details on the order).

Senior School Swimming Sports (Year 5–8) – Friday 2 March

We warmly welcome you to come and support our first sporting event for 2018. Our swimming sports will be held at Sacred Heart indoor pool. (244 W Tamaki Rd, Glen Innes).

Students will need to be at school no later than 8.20am on Friday 2 March. We will then depart Kohimarama School at 8.30am.

Swim Races 9.00am—1.00pm-ish. Please find the order of events listed below.

At this stage there have been insufficient volunteers for the parents to front a relay team, however, there is still time! Email sdrefers@kohimarama.school.nz if you are interested. We are unable to set race times, however, the races go one after another, without a lunch break.
